WELCOME TO THE BEACHCOMBER CHECK-IN: CHECKOUT: SMOKING IS PROHIBITED INSIDE. PAYMENT:You are referred to our complete Terms of Rental. Payment in full is due at check-in or the next business day. TELEPHONES:There is no charge for local calls (Venice, Englewood. Northport, or Sarasota). Other calls must be charged on a calling card, credit card, or prepaid phone card. Phone numbers for each unit are listed below. Our Wi-Fi access & lobby computer enable VoIP calling as well so bring your VoIP gizzmos. SWIMMING POOL: There is no lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk. Parents must be responsible for their children at all times. Diving into the pool is prohibited. No running in the pool area. Glass containers should not be in or around the pool. Remove all toys, swim rings, floats, etc. from the pool when not in use. The safety line is to be unhooked only if you are swimming laps. Please replace it when you are finished. No lounge chairs are permitted in the pool area. Remember to use one of our shower poles to rinse-off the sand before entering the pool area, the lobby, or your apartment. LAUNDRY ROOM: A laundry room is located between apartments #4 and #6 - bring quarters and your own detergent. There are posted times in the laundry room for cleaning staff only. Please remove your clothes promptly from the washers and dryers so others can use. When you are finished with a dryer, remember to clean the lint trap. HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE: Housekeeping is provided on Tuesday and Friday, depending on your length of stay. Fresh towels are provided if your stay is longer than three days and fresh linens are provided if your stay is more than one week. TRASH: The dumpster is for TRASH and GARBAGE ONLY. The recycling bins are for RECYCLABLES ONLY. The first bin is for paper and the second and third bins are for glass, aluminum cans and plastic. TURTLE ORDINANCE: Turtle nesting season begins May 1 and runs through Oct. 31. During this time sea turtles make their way to area beaches to lay eggs, that hatch in the fall. Throughout the season, no lights are allowed to shine on the beach by city ordinance. Compliance officers actually walk the beach at night looking for violations and will write-up offending locations. Further, it is a violation of federal law to touch or otherwise disturb a turtle, nest or hatchling. All exterior lighting has been replaced by special (red) lights to comply with these ordinance. It is the responsibility of each tenant to observe these ordinance - any fines imposed on the Beachcomber Association (up to $500/day not in compliance) due to the actions of of a tenant will be the responsibilty of the tenant to pay ... for example this means doors must be closed, shades drawn, and blinds closed from dusk to dawn. A binder with local restaurant menus is kept in the lobby where you will also find brochures
of local attractions. ·
Chairs and lounges must remain on the Beachcomber grounds and never on the beach.
Chaise lounges must remain in the common area · Please cover lounges with a towel to keep sunscreen off the furniture. ·
There are beach chairs, floats and funoodles, sand buckets and shovels that have been left by previous guests, · Do not hang towels or clothing over the balcony rails or over the pool fence. A clothesline is provided behind the building, accessed via the laundry room. ·
Please do not clean fish on the picnic table in the Tiki hut.
There is a long wooden counter on the Gulf side of the Tiki hut for that purpose. · A trash container is provided for your convenience in the Tiki hut. · Barbecue grills are also provided. You are responsible for the matches, charcoal and starter. · The extra key with your room ring is for the lobby door and the lobby bathroom. · A two-wheeled hand truck for luggage is available in the lobby. · Books and videos are available in the lobby for your use. Please return them when finished. · The parking area provides space for one car per apartment. Ask guests to park on the street. · No Pets allowed on Premises.
